Help & FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, your organization's admin or our team can help.
Getting started
Accounts, which app to install, browsers, desktop, and languages.
Your organization runs its own deployment of the platform, and its admin creates or invites accounts. If you do not have one yet, ask the admin who manages the app where you work or study.
Messages and calls
Who you can reach, groups against channels, meetings, second calls, and the assistant.
The people your organization allows. Admins set communication rules that decide which roles and departments can reach each other, so the contact list you see is the one your organization intends.
Security and devices
Encryption, device approval, screen lock, lost phones, and backups.
Messages are end-to-end encrypted with the MLS or Signal protocol, as chosen by your organization's admin. In that mode, only the devices in the conversation can read them. Some organizations that must audit content use client-server encryption instead; your admin can tell you which mode your deployment uses.
